frame before and after an event are equal,
with invariance (frame independence): the same measured in all frames.
Momentum and energy are each conserved but are not invariant, though
energy-momentum is both conserved and invariant (the momentum four vector).
Kinetic energy, which is a function of speed and can be converted to other
forms of energy, such as heat, is neither conserved nor invariant.
