Considering
that most of what is even worth listening to lives below 92 on the dial
What an elitist statement.
"Elitist" or not, John is unfortunately right. I only listen "below
92" and never anywhere else on the radio. In fact, just as with HD
Radio I mentioned in another thread, I don't know a single person in
all my friends, acquaintances, and relatives that listens to
commercial radio. They're either "below 92", online, or using MP3
players, etc. Somebody must be listening to commercial radio since
it's still functioning, but I don't know who. Possibly the listeners
may only be persons who have no other alternatives than an inexpensive
radio receiver. That's the only explanation I can think of.

They had a local soft rock station (KWAV) playing in a Citibank branch
the other day, and that's my first exposure in months to commercial
radio since I seldom go to that bank. They're just being cheap, plus
that may not be legal, viz. copyright laws.

Truth hurts. I've lived here for,13 years and am the vice-chair of
the local SBE chapter, and I have no feeling whatsoever who or what is
"north" of 92. The only reason that I knew the run-down of the Bay
Area stations was that I inspected them all at one time or another.

Enlighten me about what? I've been following and participating in IBOC
development since the mid-nighties. I think I probably know a little
more about it than you.
